Digital Printing
Digital printing is the reproduction of digital images on a physical surface, such as paper, cover stock, plastic, vinyl, or labels. It can be differentiated from offset, letterpress, engraving and other types of printing in many ways, some of which are:
Every impression made onto the paper can be different, as opposed to making several hundred or thousand impressions of the same image from one set of printing plates, as in traditional methods.
The toner does not absorb into the substrate, as does conventional ink, but forms a layer on the surface that is fused to the substrate by using an inline fuser fluid with heat process.
It requires less waste in all areas of production including paper and the amount of time required in set up or makeready (bringing the image "up to color" and checking registration or position). Digital printing allows us to produce the exact amount of forms you require, when your need them and thus save you money by controling your inventory.
It is excellent for rapid prototyping on specific substrates.
It is very cost effective for small to medium full color high quality print runs which means that it is more accessible to a wider range of customers.
